Resolution criteria

As of late 2025, Duolingo does not offer a Persian (Farsi) course, and there is no public evidence of one being in development. This market resolves YES if Duolingo launches an official Farsi/Persian course for English speakers on its platform (web or mobile app). Resolution will be confirmed by checking the official Duolingo app or website's language course list. The course name may be "Farsi," "Persian," or similar variants. The market resolves NO if no such course is launched by the resolution date.

Background

Farsi (Persian) is spoken by over 110 million people but is not on Duolingo. Duolingo historically relied on community contributors to build courses, but the company has since shifted to an internal, AI-driven development model. Even when community-driven Farsi courses were proposed, they were not accepted by Duolingo staff.
