Similar to what NBA players get for criticizing refs or making a homophobic comment, doesn't affect basketball/competitive balance of the NBA at all

Similar to tampering punishments by recent teams like Bucks, Knicks, Heat who just lost a 2nd round pick for talking to a free agent before free agency starts. Generally doesn’t change the league
