The Render Token (RNDR) is a distributed GPU rendering network built on top of the Ethereum blockchain, aiming to connect artists and studios in need of GPU compute power with mining partners willing to rent their GPU capabilities out.
Since the original launch of the RNDR token in October 2017, the Render Network has been spun out of parent company OTOY (board members include Hollywood leaders like Ari Emmanuel and JJ Abrams) and moved onto other chains including the Polygon (MATIC) L2 solution and Solana L1 blockchain while RNDR's leadership simultaneously trumpeting its use-cases for powering decentralized render farms for among other things, Augmented and Mixed Reality use-cases, as well as handling the immense production workloads of Hollywood studio films
So, will one of these Hollywood production firms "announce" or at least share (if even in an extended behind the scenes 'making of' documentary) they usage of the RNDR network for rendering workloads before 2025?
