Resolution criteria

This market resolves YES if any EU member state's national football team officially withdraws from or boycotts the 2026 FIFA World Cup, specifically refusing to participate in matches scheduled in the United States portion of the tournament (as opposed to matches in Canada or Mexico). This includes:

• Official withdrawal announced by the national federation or government

• Refusal to travel to or play in U.S. venues

• Participation in Canada/Mexico matches while refusing U.S. matches

The market resolves NO if all EU member states that qualify participate in their scheduled U.S. matches. Resolution will be determined by official statements from national football federations, FIFA announcements, or credible sports news sources documenting the boycott.
