Last winter brought an unusual amount of snow, and there have already been multiple deaths in the mountains this year. For the year of 2022 there were eight deaths, and for 2021 there were nine.

How does this resolve if a previously missing person is found deceased in September?

i.e. does "in September" modify "report" or "fatality"? and, if the latter, what if the time of the fatality is unclear?
