Background
The Valencia Marathon is known for its flat and fast course, making it one of Europe's premier marathons for achieving personal best times. The race takes place in December with favorable temperatures between 12-17°C (54-63°F). The course has a maximum time limit of 5 hours and 30 minutes, with runners starting in nine waves based on their expected finish times.
Resolution Criteria

Considerations
To finish under 5 hours, a runner needs to maintain an average pace of approximately 11:27 minutes per mile or 7:07 minutes per kilometer
The race uses a wave start system, with the final wave (for runners expecting to finish in over 4:10:00) starting at 9:35 AM
The course must be completed by 3:15 PM local time to be considered an official finish
Only results from the official timing system will be considered for
