Argylle Prequel Details Focused On Henry Cavill's New Spy Seemingly Revealed

Will a studio (presumably Apple Studios) announce another movie in the Argylle franchise by June 30th?

Doesn’t matter if it’s a prequel, sequel, spin-off, reboot…etc. But it must be connected to Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle (2024).

, a prequel focused on Cavill's spy is reportedly in development with the lead actor already cast. According to 

's Baz Bamigboye, there is hope of launching an 

 series featuring a younger version of Cavill's titular spy 

. In addition, Vaughn wants to work with Howard, Rockwell, and Cavill again, and there are plans for more 

based on a series of unpublished books by first-time author Elly Conway

, who acts as the in-universe author of the 

 novels. The first film, according to director Matthew Vaughn, is based on the fourth novel in the series, while the second movie would be based on the first book and explore the origins of Argylle becoming a spy. It's unclear, given the new report of a prequel series, if these are still the plans for the sequel.
