Eliezer Yudkowsky is an American AI researcher and writer, known for his work on artificial intelligence safety and decision theory. He is the founder of the Machine Intelligence Research Institute (MIRI). Nate Soares is also associated with MIRI and has co-authored several papers with Yudkowsky. Their upcoming book,
