The Chandrayaan-3 mission, operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), succesfully landed a lunar lander (Vikram) and deployed a lunar rover (Pragyan) to the surface of the moon on August 23rd.

ISRO cannot currently contact the vehicles. 

 rover were set to sleep on 2 September and 4 September respectively due to depleting solar power with sunset at the landing site. The lander and rover were scheduled to start working again at local sunrise on September 22.

 However on 22 September, Vikram Lander and Pragyan rover missed Wake-up call.
