This question resolves to yes if Nury Martinez resigns her seat on the Los Angeles City Council by Monday, October 31 at 11:59 PM Pacific time. If Martinez announces her resignation before the deadline, but the resignation takes effect after the deadline, then the question will resolve to No.

Background: Last week, a recording of Nury Martinez was released where she made disparaging and racially charged remarks towards colleagues and other people. Multiple elected leaders have called on Martinez and the other councilmembers she spoke with to resign.
