The Speaker of the House is up for vote. The likely option is currently Republican Mike Johnson, but several Republicans are voting against him. If he wants to win, he will need to get them back, get some Democrats to vote for him, or do one of those along with some representatives not voting or voting absent. Alternatively, a Democratic speaker could be elected, though that is considered to be unlikely.
