It being a shock collar is not really a matter of opinion, since there are a plethora of videos dissecting which exact model it is. Questions about whether he actually shocked the dog or not, or whether he is lying about several things relating to this drama or not, would be more interesting subjects for a poll.
Edit: I guess this poll does show his fans would eat a sandwich full of his steaming feces if he insisted they're meatballs.
@JackP people like Caroline Kwan? LMAO. She would eat the aforementioned shit sandwich, go for seconds and film an advertisement saying shit sandwiches are the most delicious food in the world, before Hasan even said anything about it.
@dgga I’ve never heard of Caroline. I was talking about jennifer Welch and some others I’ve seen on Twitter
@JackP Jennifer Welch has said that? Can you link me this statement? The only thing I can find that links her to this drama is the famous clip where she tells Hasan that the collar is too tight, and Hasan seemingly almost blurts out that it has to be tight because it's a shock collar, before quickly deciding to instead adjust it and mumble something about a lot of neck meat.
The only people I've seen saying it's not a shock collar, that "have been to his house," are Kwan, Taylor Lorenz, and Anisa Jomha. All three are less trustworthy about Hasan's faults than Hasan himself.
@JackP fair, she did say she saw no "mechanism for shocking". So either Hasan hides the nature of the collar when visitors are there, or this person should lose every bit of the credibility she currently enjoys as a blunt, honest, dog-loving person.
@JackP considering every piece of evidence presented for it being one, the probability of that option is around the same as the yelp having been caused by a naturally occurring invisible lightning strike. But hey, I ain't gonna try convincing a Hasan fan that their daddy did anything questionable. I know my limit.
@JackP get with the programming, even Hasan doesn't say that anymore (after he realized it makes him look bad that he didn't go check her at all after she supposedly got her paw stuck badly enough to yelp)
@dgga what’s he saying the yelp was for? I don’t follow his stream. I just see his clips on YouTube sometimes. I’m not a big fan like you think I am
@JackP I don't care what he says, i just know he doesn't act like it was her paw getting stuck anymore. I also don't care what level of Hasan fandom you ascribe to yourself either, since you are repeating every one his explanations word-by-word instead of simply trusting Occam's Razor. It's clear as day from the actual clips and the mountains of drama youtuber investigations what actually happened. I see no reason to ever be as charitable as you are being, towards a person who has built his entire career on lies and propagandized news reporting. He literally stated that this drama (him allegedly abusing his dog) is a fucking Mossad operation against him. Why would I ever take anything he says seriously?
@dgga You are the one in the Hasan fandom, I’ve never heard of these people you are talking about, Caroline Kwan and Anisa Johma.
And I’ve never heard the mossad claim. I don’t believe that at all
@JackP I do not watch Hasan but I browse r/Livestreamfail at times so I am more familiar than I'd like to be on Hasan dicksucks
He did blame the far right and Israel for the collargate because as a narcissist he thinks people that matter give a shit about his Palestine coverage (and he likes to use it as a shield whenever he is personally criticized) https://tribune.com.pk/story/2571533/hasan-piker-calls-viral-dog-video-a-far-right-pro-israel-attack
Nuts on the table:
I have mixed feelings about the guy. Some positive, some negative (so I selected 'no opinion'). The viral video looks very bad, but when I watched his own upload discussing how well he treats his dog, and him showing the collar itself I felt that it was not a shock collar, and actually it's a well cared for dog. Later, after seeing someone show the supposed exact model of collar it was and going back and looking at the video, it looked too similar to me in order to think it wasn't a shock collar, so I flipped opinion again.
Total clarity: I have no opinion of him (one way or the other, anyway), and I think it was a shock collar. I think his dog is probably better cared for than lots of dogs, though, based on prior video evidence spanning many many months.
None of this really matters to me that much, though, tbh. Just thought i'd outline this here since if any of my real friends ask me too I can just copy paste this.
